A passenger in a car that strayed over the centerline on a street in Wright County and hit two other vehicles has died, authorities said Wednesday.

Vincent C. DeMars, 72, of Buffalo, died Sunday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale from injuries suffered in a three-vehicle crash late in the morning on June 24 in Buffalo Township, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

DeMars was in car driven by his wife, 67-year-old Judith DeMars, traveling westbound on 20th Street NE. that crossed into the opposite lane and hit a pickup truck and another car, said Sheriff's Capt. Todd Hoffman.

Sustaining noncritical injuries were Judith DeMars, 30-year-old pickup driver Michael Jorgensen, of Maple Grove, and the driver of the other car, Mary Millerbernd, 49, of Buffalo, Hoffman said.

Hoffman said the impact occurred at a curve in the road, but there is no determination yet about why DeMars' car crossed the centerline.
