A single-vehicle crash in the southwest metro killed the driver, who was thrown from his vehicle and killed about 2 miles from his home in Victoria, authorities said.
Austin T. Simenson, 23, crashed his car about 7:20 p.m. Monday and died a little more than three hours later at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the county medical examiner's office.
The crash occurred on County Road 11 near Hackamore Drive, south of Simenson's home, according to the Carver County Sheriff's Office. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle swerving before leaving the road, the Sheriff's Office said.
