If you something to look forward to now that you're stuck in this icebox with the Vikings season over, the Twins are about to begin selling spring training tickets.

The Minnesota Twins announced today that single-game tickets for Spring Training 2011 go on sale at 8 a.m. ET (7 a.m. CT) on Saturday, Jan. 8.

Spring Training tickets will be available at www.twinsbaseball.com, by calling 1-800-33-TWINS, at the Target Field box office or by visiting the Hammond Stadium box office in Fort Myers starting at 8 a.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 8. Regular box office hours at Hammond Stadium are from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (ET) Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. (ET) on Saturday and Sunday. Regular hours at the Target Field box office are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (CT) Monday through Friday. Twins pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report on Thursday, Feb. 17, with their first workout slated for Friday, Feb. 18. The balance of the squad is scheduled to report on Tuesday, Feb. 22, with full-squad workouts beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 23. The Twins' 2011 Spring Training home opener will take place at Hammond Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 27 against the Boston Red Sox with the first pitch slated for 7:05 p.m. E.T. Additional highlights of the Twins' 16-game home Grapefruit League schedule include two additional visits by the Red Sox (March 1 and 11), a visit by the New York Yankees (March 27), visits by the AL East Champion Tampa Bay Rays (March 4 and 19) and the NL East Champion Philadelphia Phillies (March 13). The Twins' 2011 Spring Training Schedule concludes with two exhibition games against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field (March 29 and 30).
