Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson missed most of the second half due to a hip injury, but he said he was fine after the 42-10 blowout to the Packers on Thursday at Lambeau Field.

Patterson said the injury occurred on the opening kickoff to start the second half. He was hit on the side by a defender, which flared up his hip, during the return.

"Coach just told me to shut it down," Patterson said. "Just going into the third quarter to just [play it] safe," Patterson said.

He attempted to return back into the game on the Vikings second and third offensive series in the second half but couldn't finish the drives. Patterson finished with just two catches for eight yards on four targets.

"Oooh, he said a lot of things," Patterson said of head coach Mike Zimmer after the game. "Them things don't need to be said on camera.

"At halftime, his speech was worse than after the agme. You always need stuff like that. He's just trying to motivate us and just try to get us going."
