Farmers with northeastern Wisconsin's Larsen Cooperative Co. have elected to join industry giant CHS Inc.

Inver Grove Heights-based CHS announced Monday that voting members of New London, Wis.-based Larsen Cooperative had approved a merger.

Larsen, which has been around for over 90 years, has annual sales of $130 million and about 200 employees. It provides agronomy, grain marketing and feed and energy products in 20 communities.

CHS Inc., with around $37 billion in annual revenue, is the largest U.S. agricultural cooperative. CHS said in a press statement that Larsen is the first Wisconsin-based co-op to join its business.
