H.B. Fuller names new CFO

H.B. Fuller Co., St. Paul, has appointed John Corkrean as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Corkrean is succeeding James Giertz who resigns as CFO effective May 17th.

Giertz will remain with H.B. Fuller as EVP-strategy and help deploy the company's new 2020 strategic plan until his eventual retirement next year.

Corkrean was most recently with Ecolab Inc. , where he served in a number of financial management and controls positions and was integral in Ecolab's multibillion-dollar acquisitions of Nalco and Champion in 2011 and 2012.

Appliance Recycling seeks new audit firm

Appliance Recycling Centers of America, Hopkins, disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that its outside auditors Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, has declined to stand for reappointment as the company's auditors. The reports on Appliance Recycling by Baker Tilly did not contain an adverse opinion or disclaimer of opinion and were not qualified or modified as to uncertainty, audit scope or accounting principals.

Appliance Recycling will begin looking for a new independent accounting firm.
