MERGERS AND ACQUISiTIONS
Piper Jaffray Cos., Minneapolis, has agreed to purchase Seattle-Northwest Securities Corp. in a transaction valued at about $21 million. Seattle-Northwest is a public finance firm in the Northwest region, underwriting municipal securities, and its sales and trading division distributes bonds nationwide.
