The remodeled Parkway Theater has been a hub for stand-up comedy all summer long. That trend continues with this Saturday's "Big Gay Comedy Show." In a rare feat, the theater has gathered a full lineup of gay Twin Cities comedians on one bill. Headlining is Jason Schommer, who recently opened for Louie Anderson in Las Vegas (Schommer was a standout at Anderson's Stand Up Boot Camp earlier this year at Acme). He'll be joined by Maggie Faris, Jodie Maruska, Tom Steffen and Kate Urquhart. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind comedy show.

It's Humpty! Nothing says "back to school" like a night spent with perennial "I Love the '90s" entrant, Shock G, aka Humpty Hump. The frontman for aging hip-hop group Digital Underground will headline ThePartier.com's "2 Cool for School -- The Humpty Dance Party" this Saturday at the Cabooze. Shock G will forever have a place in pop-culture consciousness due to his goofball funkfest of a song, "The Humpty Dance." The hilarious track (actually released in 1989) saw the rapper donning an alter-ego (Humpty Hump) and rapping in a nasal drawl (probably due to the oversized fake nose).
