FALL RIVER, Wis. — Authorities in Columbia County are re-opening the case of a 42-year-old man who was found dead just outside Fall River in 2001.

Foul play was expected in the death of Curtis Wylesky. He was found in a ditch on April 23, 2001, near his truck. He had suffered injuries.

The case went cold until investigators recently re-examined the reports, autopsy and other evidence in the case. Columbia County Sheriff Dennis Richards says some evidence is still being analyzed by the State Crime Lab.

He also says authorities have recently interviewed a person of interest.

Anyone with information is asked to call Columbia County Crimestoppers at (800) 293-TIPS.
