Class 5A final: Cretin-Derham Hall 16, Eden Prairie 5

Mark Alt did it all for the Raiders in a Prep Bowl victory

November 28, 2009 at 3:38AM

Quarterback Mark Alt threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns -- with the bulk of the yards coming on three huge plays -- and kicked the clinching field goal late to give Cretin-Derham Hall a 16-5 victory over Eden Prairie in the Class 5A Prep Bowl at the Metrodome.

The Raiders never trailed in winning their second-ever state title. Eden Prairie lost in the Prep Bowl for the first time ever after going 6-0 in previous title games.
