Alec Brown, the senior 7-footer for Winona, had a monster game with 35 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in a 70-57 victory over Orono in the second Class 3A quarterfinal. Winona will face St. Paul Johnson in tomorrow's semifinals.

Moltzan of Prior Lake finished third in team combined in Alpine skiing, and Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse of Duluth lost a heartbreaker to Sweden in curling at the Milan Cortina Games.
