• Sibley East 195-pound junior Nathan Rose has won 81 consecutive matches. He was undefeated (43-0) en route to the 195-pound championship in 2012.

• Pierz's 10th state tournament appearance comes with several other program milestones. The Pioneers have qualified a total of 127 individual state entrants and have won three consecutive Section 7 championships but haven't won a state title since back-to-back titles in 2004 and 2005.

• Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City qualified 10 wrestlers for the individual tourney, the most of any team in the Class 1A field.
