State Sen. Tarryl Clark's campaign announced Tuesday it raised more than $600,000 last year in her bid to unseat U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.

In the fourth quarter, the DFLer's campaign raised $293,953.

"Our thousands of small-dollar donors are a testament to the enthusiasm for Tarryl's campaign, and a clear demonstration of the kind of grassroots network we're building to win this election," campaign manager Zach Rodvold said in a statement. "Minnesotans are excited about Tarryl's agenda of standing up for them to create jobs and deliver results, and tired of Michele Bachmann's relentless pursuit of her own agenda."

Clark ended the year with just under $389,000 cash on hand, the campaign reported.

Despite an A-list of Democratic supporters, Clark raised about the same as another DFL challenger, physician Maureen Reed.

Reed raised $208,000 in the fourth quarter, ending the year with $575,000. She started 2010 with $388,000 in cash, only $1,000 less than Clark.

Bachmann, a Republican who is seeking a third term, reported having $617,000 in the bank at the end of the third quarter.
