CIA joins Twitter

June 12, 2014 at 11:34PM

These tweets are (un)classified

The Central Intelligence Agency made a clever entry to Twitter on June 6, with this tweet: "We can neither confirm nor deny that this is our first tweet." The quip from @CIA was retweeted more than 290,000 times. Pretty good for an agency better known for secrecy than a sense of humor. The CIA plans to tweet about its history, world knowledge and other news — all unclassified info, of course. www.twitter.com/CIA
