To be fair, it's been half a century since he was arrested for patronizing a hooker, and over three decades since the tax evasion conviction. Johnny Cash didn't exactly have a squeaky-clean record. Plus, he's Chuck Berry. He may be an arrogant and unpleasant man who shows up for gigs, doesn't practice, and doesn't say boo to the backup band, but he's one of the most influential cultural figures of the previous century. The only reason Americans didn't duckwalk when they landed on the moon was because of the gravity situation.
