Chris Brown, still trying to recover his rep after a 2009 beatdown of Rihanna, faked the tears during his tribute to Michael Jackson at the BET awards Sunday, Us reports.
An "insider" tells UsMagazine.com that before Brown took the stage, one of the singer's bodyguards provided him with "tear-inducing eye drops."
"He rubbed it in and started crying," the source reported to Us.
Indeed, Brown appeared to get choked up during his performance of MJ's "Man in the Mirror." But was it a meltdown of the most Machiavellian kind? The singer's representative issued a denial to the magazine.
