The Frederic Chopin Society will present recitals by five keyboard artists in its 2011-12 season. The roster includes a grand total of no musicians born in the United States. Not sure what this says about the state of piano instruction stateside, but here's the lineup, with some videos. And don't wait too long, as these shows are known to sell out in advance.

Oct. 2 -- Serbian-born Misha Dacic plays Rachmaninoff and Liszt.

Nov. 6 -- Russian-born Alexander Melnikov plays Schubert, Brahms and Shostakovich.

Jan. 29, 2012 -- Argentine Nelson Goerner plays works of Mozart, Schumann and Chopin.

March 4, 2012, -- English pianist Imogen Cooper plays music of Brahms, Beethoven, Haydn, Chopin and Schumann.

May 13, 2012 -- Russian pianist Yulianna Avdeeva, who won the Gold Medal at the 2010 International Chopin Competition, plays Bach, Prokofiev and Chopin.

All concerts at 3 p.m. Sundays at Sundin Hall, 1531 Hewitt Av., on the campus of Hamline University in St. Paul.
