A 4-month-old girl was killed Saturday night at a home near Prospect Park in Minneapolis in a domestic attack, Minneapolis police said. Her father, 21, was arrested and was expected to be booked into Hennepin County jail. His identity was not released.

Police responded to an emergency medical call in the 1900 block of Franklin Avenue SE., where the baby was found. She was pronounced dead at Hennepin County Medical Center. The county medical examiner will identify the victim after performing an autopsy.

No one else but the suspect was in the home, police said. It was not clear who made the emergency call or what type of injuries the baby suffered.

The killing was the fourth homicide of the week in Minneapolis and the 22nd of the year.

The scene was quiet outside the duplex where the victim was killed, and police were on the scene.

Neighbors who have lived down the street from the duplex for 44 years said the area is typically very quiet, with only an occasional burglary. They couldn't recall any violent incidents.

Police said they were not looking for any other suspects. They asked any witnesses who may have heard or seen anything to contact police.
