YOUNG ARMS
A look at the Gophers' quarterback picture for this fall:
Philip Nelson, sophomore, 6-2, 222: Was up and down as a true freshman but returns as the incumbent starter.
Mitch Leidner, redshirt freshman, 6-4, 226: Has a stronger arm but is less mobile than others on this list.
Dexter Foreman, redshirt sophomore, 6-1, 219: Has yet to play for the Gophers; incoming recruits won't make it easier.
Chris Streveler, freshman, 6-2, 205: Rushed for 22 TDs and passed for 26 TDs last year at Marian (Ill.) Central Catholic.
Donovahn Jones, freshman, 6-3, 190: Runs well and has a strong arm with a quick release, but he's raw as a passer.
Walk-ons: Michael Conway and Conor Rhoda.
