Mount Union football has been a national Division III power the past 25 years:
• The Purple Raiders are in the national title game for the 11th consecutive season and the 19th time in the past 23 seasons, facing St. Thomas in this year's Stagg Bowl.
• Mount Union has won 11 national titles since 1993.
• Wisconsin-Whitewater has won six of the past eight national titles, the other two going to Mount Union. Mount Union beat Whitewater 36-6 in last week's semifinals.
• Mount Union is ranked No. 1 nationally in Division III, and leads the nation in scoring offense (53.6 ppg) and scoring defense (7.5 ppg).
• Mount Union beat St. Thomas 28-10 in the 2012 national title game but lost to St. John's 24-6 in the 2003 title game.
