1994-95: ABBREVIATED SEASON

A 103-day lockout caused the cancellation of 468 games. It ended on Jan. 11 and season began Jan. 20. Each team played 48 games.

2004-05: NO SEASON

NHL became first major pro sports league in North America to lose an entire season to a labor dispute, and the Stanley Cup was not awarded for the first time since 1919. Lockout was settled on the 301st day, July 13, 2005, after players agreed to a salary cap.
