April 11, 1967: Rod Carew (age: 21 years, 192 days). Batting between Bob Allison and Earl Battey, went 2-for-4 in a 6-3 loss at Baltimore.

June 5, 1970: Bert Blyleven (19-60). Struck out seven in seven innings and earned the win in 2-1 victory over the Washington Senators.

April 9, 1976: Butch Wynegar (20-26). Jumped from Class A to majors. Caught all 11 innings (Blyleven for the first nine) in a 2-1 loss to the Rangers.

Aug. 24, 1981: Kent Hrbek (21-95). Bloomington kid, playing at Yankee Stadium, homered in the 12th inning for a 3-2 Twins victory.

May 8, 1984: Kirby Puckett (24-55). Went 4-for-5 (all singles) in the leadoff spot in a 5-0 victory over the Angels in Anaheim, Calif.

May 17, 1993: David McCarty (23-175). Third overall pick in 1991 went 1-for-4 in 11-5 loss to Yankees at the Metrodome. Quiet day for a draft bust.

June 10, 2003: Justin Morneau (22-26). Batting cleanup as the DH, had two of Twins' three hits in a 5-0 loss to Colorado at the Metrodome.

April 5, 2004: Joe Mauer (20-352). St. Paul kid caught and batted eighth, going 2-for-3 with two walks in a 7-4 win over Cleveland at the Dome.

May 2, 2010: Wilson Ramos (22-265). Catcher matched Puckett with four-hit debut in an 8-3 victory at Cleveland.
