The early days: Led Warroad to the Class 1A state championship in 2005 and played three seasons at the University of North Dakota, becoming a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as a junior.
NHL career: Selected in the first round (24th overall) by the St. Louis Blues in 2005. He has 84 goals and 157 assists in 349 career NHL games.

Family ties: He's the great-nephew of former Warroad star Max Oshie, who holds the state record for goals in a game. Max scored 12 goals in a game against Thief River Falls in 1948.
