• Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 1987 supplemental draft after attending Ohio State.

• Totaled 1,101 receptions for 13,899 yards and 130 TDs (thrown from 13 different passers). His receptions and TD totals still rank fourth all time.

• Had 10 or more TDs in a season six times.

• Broke the 100-yard receiving plateau 42 times.

• Claimed by the team in early September 1990.

• In 12 seasons played in 188 games, starting 177. Played in all 16 games of a season 11 times.

• Holds franchise records for receptions (1,004); receiving yards (12,383); receiving TDs (110); 100-yard receiving games (40); most consecutive games with a reception (111).

• No one in the NFL had more receptions (779) or TDs (90) from 1993-2000 than Carter, and only Tim Brown had more receiving yards than Carter's 9,456 during that period.
