Amateurs at
the Masters
• The low amateur receives the Silver Cup. If no amateurs make the cut, the prize goes unclaimed.
• An amateur has never won the Masters. The closest anyone has ever come is second, most recently in 1961 when Charles Coe tied with Arnold Palmer for runner-up at 281, a stroke behind Gary Player.
• Ryan Moore (right) was the last amateur to finish in the top 20, in 2005.
