Chanhassen 14, Shakopee 10

The Storm completed only one pass but won its fifth consecutive game, led by running backs Ryan Licau, Raymonte Maynard, Nathan Johnson and Cole Kirchoff. Licau scored on a 47-yard burst, and Kirchoff capped a lengthy drive with a 2-yard touchdown plunge. Shakopee scored on a 5-yard run by Austen Leadstrom at the outset of the second half.

Key of the game: Shakopee was called for roughing the kicker on an attempted Chanhassen punt. The 15-yard penalty was followed by Licau's touchdown jaunt.

Quote: "That's what got us going and we started actually hitting people and everyone started to get excited and want to come back for the next play." — Maynard on Licau's touchdown run.

One thing to know: Shakopee quarterback Travis Larsen (5-6, 140 pounds) did his best Doug Flutie impression, twice evading pressure to complete fourth-down passes to fellow sophomore Drew Hanbury. But he was sacked twice and a fourth-and-18 play came up short, sealing the Storm victory.
