Insignia Systems director resigns

Insignia Systems Inc., Brooklyn Park, announced that director Nicholas Swenson has resigned from the board of directors effective Feb. 17.

In his resignation letter Swenson expressed his disappointment that some independent directors had resigned and his anxiety about new board members and the structure of the board.

Cardiovascular appoints new director

Cardiovascular Systems Inc., St. Paul, elected Martha Goldberg Aronson to its board of directors. She will serve on the human resources and compensation committee and the audit, risk management and finance committee. Aronson replaces Leslie Trigg, who resigned from the board on Tuesday.

Trigg's resignation was not due to any disagreement with the company. Aronson was most recently an executive vice president and president of Global Healthcare at St. Paul-based Ecolab Inc.

Xcel Energy appoints new director

Xcel Energy Inc., Minneapolis, appointed Daniel Yohannes to its board of directors effective March 1. Yohannes most recently served as U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
