An 80-year-old man was killed Monday evening when his car rear-ended a Metro Transit bus in Blaine.

The man from Cedar has not been identified pending notification of his family.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said the man was driving north on Highway 65 near 89th Avenue NE when he reportedly sideswiped two vehicles and then rear-ended the bus. Although there were passengers in the bus, the Sheriff's Office said no one else was injured.
