My Sunday column chronicled the insurance travails of Paul Sunberg and Mary Lue Arvans. Sunberg has lived in a hotel with his daughter and two dogs since October, after they were advised their water-damaged house in Plymouth was inunhabitable. They have waited nearly 11 months for a decision from North Star Mutual Insurance Co. on the claim made by Arvans, who owns the house and rents it to Sunberg. Make sure you check out the video produced by my colleague McKenna Ewen for a visit to the "half-wrecked" house and Sunberg's current lodgings.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
