You can find that out and other little-known facts about the cathedral as part of its fifth annual Community and Family Day, happening this Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Here’s a sampling of what’s going on at the event, according to a released statement from the cathedral:

Actor and author Tom Hegg, (“A Cup of Christmas Tea,”) reads a biopic tale about former Twin Cities Archbishop John Ireland.

The public is invited into the sanctuary to watch demonstrations on the recently restored E.M. Skinner pipe organ.
