Rock music of the late 1960s, Communism, the Soviet Union's 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia, family dynamics, Cold War politics, academia -- these and other elements form the story of "Rock 'N' Roll," the decades-sprawling play by Tom Stoppard that opened in London in 2006 and ran on Broadway in 2007. Park Square Theatre is staging the play in January. Mary M. Finnerty will direct a big cast that includes Peter Moore, Dan Hopman, Jen Maren, Sasha Andreev, Virginia Burke, Carolyn Pool and Brent Doyle. Previews begin Jan. 15, and the show opens Jan. 22 and ends Feb. 7 at the downtown St. Paul playhouse.Go here for info and tickets, and here to see a review of the New York production.
