A car struck a railroad bridge pillar west of Chaska, killing the 24-year-old driver, authorities said.

The crash was reported to authorities about 5:50 p.m. Monday on County Road 140, near Kelly Avenue, in Dahlgren Township, the Carver County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Found dead in his car was Jonathan Timms, 24, of Cologne, the Sheriff's Office said.
