Dick Wolf, the chief of TV's "Law & Order" franchise, isn't exactly known for his musical taste, unless you happen to think the dramatic chimes that open his shows have a nice beat and you can dance to it. But he happens to be a huge fan of the Doors, so much so that he was one of the producers for "People Are Strange," a PBS documentary about the band that aired in May. He talked about getting turned on to the band's 1967 debut, "The Doors."

"I remember the day it came out. I was in college, a sophomore, and I bought this album. I didn't know anything about it. But I took it home, played both sides and then played it again. I ended up playing it about 10 times in a row."
