A few weeks ago your blogger wrote here about a new kind of Cabela's store planned for Woodbury.

Recently, Twin Cities-based Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. said that it was selected by Cabela's to build the suburban outpost, which is a bit of a different footprint from its huge megastores. KA also built Cabela's other Minnesota stores in East Grand Forks, Owatonna and Rogers.

The 85,000-square-foot Woodbury store will be located adjacent to the Tamarack Village Shopping Center. It will still feature "dynamic wildlife displays and trophy animal mounts," as well as a boat shop, gun library, aquarium, Bargain Cave and Fudge Shop.

The store is expected to open next year.
