Wilson Ramos may have ended his sweet two-game hitting streak, but the Twins managed to come away with a wild 4-3 win over the Detroit Tigers Tuesday night.

Brennan Boesch absolutely crushed one into the night to tie things up in the top of the ninth, and it looked as though the Tigers were pouncing after Alex Avilla doubled to left. But thanks to a nifty play by J.J. Hardy, the threat ended abruptly. With one down in the bottom half, Hardy nailed one that Dick Bremer thought was gone for sure. Instead, the shortstop rounded the horn as fast as he could for a triple.

With Ramos at the plate, Hardy scored on a wild pitch by Ryan Perry and was immediately clobbered by his teammates in celebration of the first walkoff win at Target Field. Of course, Nick Punto was the first one to grab him.

I might start referring to him as "Heads-up Hardy" rather than "Hot Pants Hardy."

Kevin Slowey will climb the mound for the Twins at 12:10pm this afternoon to face fellow right-hander Rick Porcello, who is 1-2 with a 2.79 ERA in 5 career starts vs. Minnesota. Jason Kubel is 9-for-14 (.643) with 2 doubles and a home run off of him while Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer have also gone yard. He's pretty much shut everyone else down, however.

Slowey is 3-0 with a 6.20 ERA in 5 career starts against Detroit, with Johnny Damon and Carlos Guillen being the most trouble for him, historically. One thing is for sure, fans are bringing their brooms to the ballpark today.

Good news on the Man Muscles front: An MRI on Tuesday showed no damage to Joe Mauer's priceless, bruised left heel. Unfortunately, his return is still up in the air. Here are some links to keep you busy this Wednesday.
