Moving up

Advantus Capital Management, St. Paul, named Dave Kuplic president. Kuplic joined Advantus in 2004 and serves on the boards for Allina Health, Carlson Funds at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Advantus also named Mike Steinert vice president and chief compliance officer.

Schmitt Music Co., Brooklyn Center, named Robert Baker chief operating officer. Baker was the company's chief financial officer for 15 years and serves on the board for Hennepin County Sheriff's Foundation.

Associated Bank named Gerald Anderson senior vice president, corporate senior credit officer. Anderson joined the bank in 2010 and most recently was senior vice president, district senior credit officer.

On the move

MDA Leadership Consulting, Minneapolis, named Sharon Sackett senior vice president of the firm's chief executive and board services practice and global assessment. Sackett joined the firm in 1998 and was vice president of talent assessment. MDA Leadership Consulting also named Kevin Louiselle executive vice president of talent strategy and assessment, Jeff Stoner senior vice president of leadership development, Jeff Hinds vice president of private equity and Cory Jacobson vice president of client development.

United Properties, Minneapolis, named Chris Pohlad vice president of asset management. Pohlad was vice president of production for NorthMarq Capital's Seattle office.

HRI Lodging named Craig Scott general manager for Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown and Doubletree Suites by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis. Scott held leadership positions for the Commons Hotel and DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington.

Pohlad

HGA Architects and Engineers, Minneapolis, named Josh Stowers associate vice president and principal. Stowers was a principal for Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle and a former president of CoreNet Global's Midwest Chapter.

Guild Incorporated, St. Paul, named Renee Levesque chief clinical officer. Levesque worked for Hennepin Health.

National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers named JaneAnne Murray to the board. Murray is a professor for the University of Minnesota Law School and is a private practice attorney.

Institute of Real Estate Management Minnesota, St. Louis Park, named Dennis Meadows 2018 chapter president. Meadows is a senior property manager for Cushman & Wakefield.
