Securian Financial Group, St. Paul, named Sid Gandhi chief strategy and customer engagement officer. Gandhi joined Securian in 2010 and most recently was vice president of enterprise strategic business development.

Omega Property Management, Maple Grove, named Lance Stendal president. Stendal joined the company in 2001 and most recently was vice president.

Fredrikson & Byron, Minneapolis, named Frank Bennett a shareholder in the mergers and acquisitions group and co-chair of the private equity group. Bennett was a partner at Lindquist & Vennum and serves on the board for the Washburn Center for Children.

University of Minnesota named Nicholas Phelps co-director of the Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center effective July 1. Phelps joined the university in 2007 and has been a researcher at the center since 2012.

Concepts and Designs, Owatonna, named Mike Peterson vice president of operations. Peterson was a product manager and worked for Master Lock Co.

Evercore Wealth Management named Thomas Mahowald managing director and portfolio manager for the Minneapolis office. Mahowald was a portfolio manager for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and was a chief investment officer at Great Northern Capital.

Edina Realty Foundation, Edina, named Joleen McFadden executive director. McFadden is a marketing manager for Edina Realty Title.

Versique, St. Louis Park, named Eric Patton senior sales recruiter, Katherine Turpin senior information technology recruiter and Luke Kuhlman digital marketing manager.

Honors

Barbara Müller was named honorary consul of Germany. Müller is a shareholder at Fredrikson & Byron and earned law degrees in Germany and the U.S.

The National Academy of Medicine named Daryll Dykes and Susie Nanney to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy fellows program. Dykes is president and chief executive for Medical and Surgical Spine Consultants and Nanney is an associate professor for the University of Minnesota.
