University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts named Michael Kim director of the School of Music effective July 31. Kim was a dean and professor at the Brandon University School of Music in Manitoba, Canada. .

Encompass, Eden Prairie, named Craig Kuske senior project engineer. Kuske was a senior structural engineer for special projects at Target and worked for American Engineering Testing, Opus Architects & Engineers and Ellerbe Becket. Encompass also named Thomas Sarbaugh senior project architect. Sarbaugh worked for Mead & Hunt and A. Epstein and Sons International.
