Dorsey & Whitney, Minneapolis, named Bob Seng partner in the benefits and compensation group. Seng worked for Dorsey & Whitney from 1989 to 2002 before joining Target Corp. He most recently was Target's assistant general counsel for pay and benefits and serves on the board for the American Benefits Council and MAP for Nonprofits.

Fredrikson & Byron, Minneapolis, named Robert Aronson shareholder in the immigration group. Aronson was the managing attorney for Aronson & Associates and was a Fulbright Fellow at the law schools of Harvard and Moscow State University.

Mithun, Minneapolis, named Melissa Schoenke managing director for Compass Point Media. Schoenke was the director of media strategy for Target Corp. and worked for OMD Worldwide, Nike and Carmichael Lynch.

Associated Bank named Paul Schmidt executive vice president in its commercial real estate division. Schmidt was executive vice president, division manager, commercial real estate at Wells Fargo. He is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead and serves on the board for Autism Society of Minnesota and HopeKids Minnesota.

The Opus Group, Minnetonka, named Bob Steffel director of project management. Steffel was a construction executive at M.A. Mortenson Co. and has worked for Knutson Construction and Opus Corp. The Opus Group also named Jed Field senior project manager for Opus Design Build. Field worked for HealthEast Care System and Park Nicollet Health Systems.

Big-D named Larry Doran project manager for the Minneapolis office. Doran worked for Benson-Orth Associates, Doran, Knutson Construction and Turner Construction.

Re/Max Results, Eden Prairie, named Sascha Gebault regional manager in the St. Cloud and Cold Spring markets. Gebault will remain the office manager for the St. Cloud and Cold Spring offices. Re/Max Results also named Mike Vanderheyden managing broker overseeing the Lilydale, Roseville and White Bear Lake offices.
