Donaldson Co., Bloomington, named Tod Carpenter chief operating officer and was appointed to the board. Carpenter joined Donaldson in 1996 and held a number of positions including senior vice president of engine products, general manager of gas turbine systems and vice president of industrial filtration solutions. Donaldson also named Jeffrey Spethmann vice president, global industrial air filtration. Spethmann was president of Blow Molded Specialties and president and chief executive of Waltek.

Safe Reflections, Oakdale, named Chuck Gruber president and chief operating officer. Gruber was president of Cannon Equipment and has worked for GAF Materials Corp., Elemica and Rohm and Haas.

Moving up

Wells Fargo Insurance named Stefani Tygar Barnes head of personal insurance business. Barnes was senior vice president and relationship manager for the wealth, brokerage and retirement cross-sell team.

The Lacek Group, Minneapolis, named Stephanie Ricke senior vice president, strategic services, Randy Gunderson senior vice president account services and Julie Bustos senior vice president, technology services.

Dominium, Plymouth, named Tracy Radtke corporate controller. Radtke was the assistance controller and is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Moorhead.

CKC Good Food, South St. Paul, named Jim Leahy business development director. Leahy has held a variety of positions within CKC and has worked for Lifeworks Services and Volt Service Group. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas.

Haberman, Minneapolis, named Sunny Fenton business development director. Fenton was director of business development at Colle+McVoy has worked for Little & Company, Hunt Adkins, Carmichael Lynch and Best Buy.

Securian Financial Group, St. Paul, named Tamra Cownie vice president and trust officer. Cownie has worked for U.S. Bank and the Internal Revenue Service. She is chairwoman of the board for Merrick Community Services. Securian also named John Rothchild vice president and wealth management counsel.

Fullerton Cos., Plymouth, named Mark Bosch director of operations for the building systems division. Bosch was chief executive and equity owner of Bossardt Corp. and has worked for Huntington Engineering and Environmental, PCL Construction Services and Mortenson.

On the board

The Religious Conference Management Association elected Melvin Tennant board chairman. Tennant is the president and chief executive of Meet Minneapolis.

Securian Financial Group, St. Paul, elected Eric Goodman to the board. Goodman is a retired chief investment officer of Aegon USA.
