In Friday's All-Star fantasy draft, Brent Burns was not the last defensemen chosen as he predicted and Martin Havlat was far from the last forward taken.

Team Lidstrom, run by captain Nicklas Lidstrom and assistants Marty St. Louis and Patrick Kane, chose Burns in the 13th round, then Kane's former Chicago teammate, Havlat, in the 14th round.

So Wild fans will have rooting interest with the blue team.

As for news from the draft:

--Burns shaved

--Havlat didn't

--The Sedins will be split, with Henrik on Lidstrom's team (meaning Ryan Kesler likes Canucks teammate Daniel better)

--Staal took teammates and host city favs Cam Ward first overall (dumb) and Jeff Skinner

--Kane did everything possible not to take Jonathan Toews but finally gave in

--Staal psyched out his brother, Marc, and took New York Rangers ... goalie Henrik Lundqvist before finally taking Marc

--Team Lidstrom, so far, is by far those most dominant team. He'll be a GM one day. Eric Staal definitely will not.

--Erik Karlsson is last D taken (Team Staal)

--Jonas Hiller last G taken (Team Lidstrom)

--Phil Kessel squirmed and went dead last, but took it well, gets 20K to donate to his favorite charity and a Honda hybrid. I checked, the Maple Leafs don't get a lottery pick back for Kessel going last.
