Mother's Day Laugh-a-thon
Saturday: Bruce Bruce, the Atlanta-bred actor and comedian who was the longtime host of BET's "ComicView," will do nearly anything for a laugh. Clever and quick-witted, he headlines a comedy extravaganza to celebrate mothers. He shares the stage with Melanie Comarcho, known from the comedy "First Sunday," Chicago comedian Just Nesh and two Tonys: Rock and Roberts. They promise to pay tribute to mothers and entertain the rest of us. (8 p.m. Sat., Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. $49.75-$89.75. 1-800-982-2787, hennepintheatretrust.org.)
