Authorities on Wednesday released the name of a man who was killed by his son before the younger man killed himself in the family's Brooklyn Center home. Gilbert R. Avieda, 65, was shot multiple times shortly before 1 a.m. Monday at the home in the 1300 block of 72nd Avenue N., according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.
