Sally Wingert will return to the Twin Cities with more than Broadway and West End memories. Wingert's role in "La Bete" took her to London and Broadway, where the show closes this weekend. She will star in the Guthrie Theater's "Arsenic and Old Lace" alongside Broadway veteran Kristine Nielsen this spring. Nielsen played the wheelchair-bound Storyteller in the musical "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson," which closed in New York on Sunday. Her Broadway credits include "Les Liaisons Dangereuses," "Spring Awakening" and "A Streetcar Named Desire." The two actors, who enjoyed a recent visit backstage in New York, play spinster sisters in Joseph Kesselring's classic comedy, which Joe Dowling directs. The show opens April 9.
