Anthony Randolph has taken up right where Kevin Love left off with all those double-doubles now that Love has missed the last two games because of that groin injury.

Randolph has stepped in and provided back-to-back double doubles, following Thursday's 31-point, 11-rebound game with 24 points and 15 rebounds tonight.

"It's not as good as his," Randolph said of Love's double-double streaks. "I'd rather start a winning streak. That'd be better."

Given Randolph's play in his short time here and Love's breakthrough season so far, here's a question I'll throw out now and come back later either with a blog item or story that asks this question:

What about a sixth-man role for Beasley?

Don't know if he'd accept it, but it'd solve a couple different issues:

It'd prevent the Wolves from getting torched defensively at the small-forward matchup to start games, as has happened on occasion with Beasley starting there.

And it might minimize Beasley's defensive liabilities and emphasize his scoring if you just sent him in the game and told him to score against a second-teamer.

If Jason Terry and Lamar Odom can thrive at it....

Just a thought.
