The Minnesota Department of Transportation is warning commuters in the northeast metro to expect delays on I-35E starting Tuesday as crews pour concrete for bridges over Goose Lake Road.

The freeway in both directions will be reduced to a single lane between County Road 96 and County Road E. The northbound lane closure will begin at 8 a.m. and the southbound closure at 9 a.m. and will remain in place until 9 a.m. Wednesday, MnDOT said.

The lane closures are needed to keep the deck from vibrating and cracking as it hardens.
