The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin work on bridges at 82nd Street and 86th Street on Monday, and that will lead to entire closures or lane restrictions.

Sometime Monday morning, crews will shut down the eastbound lanes of W. 82nd Street over I-35W in Bloomington. A detour is posted. Once repairs on the eastbound side are complete, the westbound lanes will close. Work is expected to be wrapped up by May 23.

On W. 86th Street, all lanes on the bridge spanning I-35W will be closed until May 26 for repairs.

In conjunction with the bridge closurers, motorists can expect to encounter overnight lane closings on 35W in the vicinity of 86th and 82nd Streets.
