March Madness in Minnesota kicks off with the boys' hockey state tournament Wednesday through Saturday at Xcel Energy Center. Our coverage:

Tuesday: Meet the Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year and All-Metro team.

Wednesday: Twenty years later, the five-overtime classic between Apple Valley and Duluth East remains perhaps the greatest boys' hockey state tournament game. Class 1A quarterfinals start at 11 a.m.

Thursday: Upsets reshaped the Class 2A field. Quarterfinals start at 11 a.m.

Friday: Class 1A semifinals, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Class 2A semifinals, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Saturday: Class 1A championship, noon. Class 2A championship, 7 p.m.

Tickets: $17 ($11 for students)
