Boy found unresponsive at his Golden Valley pool

A 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at his home in Golden Valley Monday afternoon.

A 911 caller reported at about 1:30 that the boy was at the bottom of the pool.

He was unresponsive when police recovered him from the pool, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

First responders immediately provided CPR.

The child is being treated at North Memorial Medical Center

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Golden Valley Police Department and Golden Valley Fire Department responded to the scene.

The sheriff's office is investigating.
