BodyCartography Project

Thursday-Sunday: All summer, BodyCartography has been practicing a kind of guerrilla performance in and about the Twin Cities with the first part of its work "closer." With one dancer paired with one audience member who might simply watch or join along, the dance company has been making these individualized dances in places such as the Stone Arch Bridge, City Hall, the Minneapolis Convention Center and the Minnesota Museum of American Art. Now BodyCartography is ready to embark on "Part 2" of the project, with an evening-length performance at the Red Eye Theater, continuing their investigation into ideas of participation, awareness and presence. The performance experience will be followed by a dance party with DJ Wzz Wnshp. (8 p.m. Thu.-Sat., 2 & 7 p.m. Sun., Red Eye Theater, 15 W. 14th St., Mpls., $15-$25, pay as you can Thu., $10 kids for Sun. matinee. 612-870-0309, bodycartography.org.)
